You guys... What do you do for a living? How do you spend your days when not at work? What's important in life?
Antony is a videographer who sometimes shoots weddings in his spare time! I'm a product manager for a software development company. We both enjoy looking after Bertie, the family dog, and going to visit new places. We both love food, and trying out new restaurants. We just want to enjoy our free time, spend as much time as we can with our families, and travel the world together. So far we have been to Italy, a few places in the UK and are hoping to travel more now that restrictions are lifting.
Why do you want to capture your Hotel Du Vin Brighton Wedding on Video?
My (Isobel's) parents had a wedding film made back in 1991 and even now we sometimes watch it. Photos are beautiful, but we also want to remember how people sounded, how they moved, their expressions. A film adds an extra dimension to the day.
Why did you pick me to video your wedding at the Hotel Du Vin?
We found you through the hotel's preferred supplier list, and we loved the films on your website. Antony can be quite critical (as a videographer himself) but really liked your work. We got a great feeling when we had our initial chat and you put us at ease. We're really looking forward to working with you!
The proposal? .. Tell me everything
Antony proposed at the very top of Mount Vesuvius. We had hiked up (slowly) and were about to start our descent to make sure we caught the bus in time. For a few moments there was no one around, Antony stopped to take more photos, and I was freaking out because I thought we were going to miss the bus. I turned around and Antony was on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was amazing, we were so lucky that for that moment we were the only two up there.
A Hotel Du Vin Brighton Wedding - Why this wedding venue above anywhere else?
We decided on Brighton because my (Isobel's) grandparents are all there. I also grew up in Brighton. We wanted to get married somewhere that's a bit different, as we're not the country estate type of people. My dad suggested Hotel Du Vin, and we both fell in love with it when we went to visit.
